LEPTON is a new central program suggested by NANI for each Anveshika to conduct. In this, Anveshika coordinator along with his/her team will conduct offline LEPTON sessions in various institutions (schools and colleges) of their regions. Student groups from class 9 and above in the school and B. Sc and M. Sc students in colleges, will be approached to participate in such sessions. Apart from the contents decided by the Anveshika, LEPTON sessions will include a video based MCQ quiz.

During the LEPTON program, the quiz will be conducted based on the videos shown on the screen and the students will mark their answers to the MCQs asked, on the question paper shared with them. There should be 9-10 videos and 15-20 questions. For each question, there will be a short video and the MCQ will be based on that video. There may be more than one question on the same video. The answer papers will be collected and evaluated by the resource persons just after the quiz. In parallel, discussion of the quiz should be done after collecting the papers. The LEPTON program can be conducted any number of times in nearby institutions. Anveshika can give certificates and prizes if they decide that way.

Anveshika coordinators can devise their own ways to conduct the program where they can evaluate and identify top performers. For each LEPTON Program conducted for school students up to 31st May 2024, the top 2% based on the quiz marks, can be given lateral entry in NAEST Prelims of 2024. For each LEPTON Program conducted for college students up to 31st May 2024, the top 4% based on the quiz marks, can be given lateral entry in NAEST Prelims of 2024.
